NOVACITE celebrates 25 years

Initially created to favour the creation of research spin-out companies, Novacité will celebrate by next 27 November its 25th anniversary. The concept has been proven while evolving according to the needs of companies and the economic context.

Since 1987 Novacité has labelled 322 companies, has generated 2346 jobs and a turnover of 308 million Euro for companies which are still active today.

First focused on business incubation, the concept quickly evolved towards new business models, 60% of their supported projects being now in the field of biotech and ICT while the rest of their projects still propose innovative services to businesses and individuals.

Their public has also evolved over time; at the very beginning they would mainly welcome executives who wanted to create their own company and then progressively reached researchers. Today, 50% of accompanied innovative companies come from research.

Novacité will officially celebrate its 25th anniversary on 27 November, the ceremony will end with the NOVAD'OR award.

Every year since its creation, Novacité organise the Novad’or. This privileged moment gathers all the labelled companies and key partners in the field of innovation. It is an opportunity to share their experience and to highlight the performances and the diversity of the labelled companies through the nominees as well as to award one of these for its achievements.
