Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) SME Start-up Programme offers a series of Entrepreneur Workshops providing practical guides to areas such as business planning, SME financing, company set-up procedures, export procedures, operations management, business communications and online business. The HKTDC SME Centre is an interactive environment offering a vast array of practical information for new companies. Business starters not only can meet with their professional consultant onsite for free advice, but also can gather relevant start-up information and exchange ideas with SME peers.

The HKTDC has formed strategic alliances with various organisations to support Hong Kong entrepreneurs and SME start-ups. Their partners in the Hong Kong SAR Government include the Trade and Industry Department, Innovation and Technology Commission, the Intellectual Property Department and Create HK. They also work with organisations such as the Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks, Cyberport, the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Hong Kong Productivity Council, the Innovation Entrepreneur Association and the Hong Kong Retail Management Association.
