The German Marshall Fund of the United States announces the launch of the second Asmus Policy Entrepreneurs Fellowship. Applicants must be American or European citizens under the age of 40. Entries must include a brief proposal of a project that they believe will address an important foreign or economic policy issue and will advance transatlantic cooperation. The fellowship is in honor of Ronald D. Asmus, German Marshall Fund Brussels office executive director and director of strategic planning, who dedicated his life to the principles of freedom.
Over the course of the year, Asmus Fellows will utilize existing German Marshall Fund activities and networks to advance their policy questions and to frame policy alternatives before summarizing their results by the year’s end.
The Fellows will also be invited to attend three‐to‐four key German Marshall Fund programs, and may be invited to present on a topic and/or participate in or facilitate dialogues at some of these events. GMF will allocate up to $25,000 per fellow for fellowship‐related expenses.
·· All applications must be received by January 27, 2014
